Coney Island

Coney Island also known as Pulau Serangoon is located on the northern coast of Singapore within the town of Punggol. It was once owned by entrepreneur siblings Aw Boon Haw and Aw Boon Par before being sold to an Indian businessman, Ghulam Mahmood in 1950 with the intention of turning the island to a resort modelled after the amusement park at Coney Island in New York City. It was then reclaimed by the Singapore Goverment to develop the island into a recreational venue with chalets, beach and a marina.

Casuarina Exploratory

There are more than 80 bird species that can be found in the island.
