Malacca, Truly Asia!
Malacca, Malaysia
It's been how many months since I travelled outside Singapore because of the busy work shifts and finally last week, I got some time to went for a short trip to one of the UNESCO's world heritage site, the state of Malacca, Malaysia.
Like what I did in my Kuala Lumpur trip, I strategically mapped my itinerary for this adventure. But this time, I don't need to rush to visit all the tourists spots in Malacca since I have decided to stay for one night to witness the night life of the city. I took the Starmart Express Bus, a three hour trip from Singapore which you can catch at Golden Mile Complex, near the Nicoll Highway MRT Station.
Malacca, also known as "Melaka" (Malay) is one of state of Malaysia dubbed as "The Historic State". This historical city was listed as one of the world's heritage site by the UNESCO since 7th of July 2008.
Upon reaching the state, you will be amazed on what will you see and feel. It has a very different aura. It's like you travel back to the time of ages.
Of course, the trip will not be completed without food! I've tried their famous chicken rice ball with roasted chicken and stir fried caylan and it taste so good!
Here are the rest of the tourists spots that I have visited.
St. Paul's Church
The Dutch Graveyard
The City View of Malacca
The Christ Church
The Stadthuys
St. John's Fort
The Dutch Square
A' Famosa
After the very tiring walk around the historical site of Malacca, I headed down to their famous street, the Jonker Street.
Jonker street is the heart of the Chinatown of Malacca wherein you can find cheap and tasty treats at night of Saturdays and Sundays. From here, I tried their famous Nyoya Asam Laksa and Baba Chendol which tastes so delicious!

At night, you can ride the colorful trishaws showcasing lights and sounds perfect for a ride around the city.
From the Menara Taming Sara, a tower that revolves up high above, I witness the city lights of the city.
And before the day ends, the adventure wouldn't be complete if you will not visit the Malacca River that lights up at night.
Thank you for travelling with me, until the next journey! Truly Asia!
